My secret to staying motivated & committed

Have you ever set a goal for your health (or in your life) that you felt super excited about?!

Those first few days (or weeks) feel easy. You’re committed as hell… but then your commitment wanes.

Maybe something unexpected came up, or maybe your motivation just started disappearing without explanation.

Before you know it you’re spending more time convincing yourself why it’s ok to give up then you are on trying to achieve the goal itself.

Staying motivated and committed can be a huge challenge! I know it used to be for me.

One of the biggest things that helped me solve my commitment/motivation challenges was flooding my mind with positive information and ideas.

I do this by reading personal development books. Now I’m hooked! I’d much rather read these books than watch TV since TV doesn’t do anything to make my life better like reading does.

Plus, audiobooks are great for making workouts or commuting time even more productive.

Here are my top 5 favorite books to supercharge your motivation/commitment:

1. Daring Greatly by Brene Brown

This changed my life! Vulnerability connects. Even though it feels scary, when you share your true self (struggles and all) your life will transform. Start by admitting to someone that you’re having trouble staying motivated. It’s not a bad thing. When you admit it you may get just the help you need.

4. High Performance Habits by Brendon Burchard

Did you know there are only 6 core habits that move the needle to make someone a high performer? I love this book because Brendon did a TON of research when putting it together. It’s perfect if you’re the kind of person that wants to know there’s hard evidence behind what you read.

5. You Are A Badass by Jen Sincero

This book covers all the important principles of personal development in one place, and it’ll make you laugh! And you’ll gain some insights into what may be holding you back. You’re going to love it 😁
